Wiltshire Council

Love Where You Work

Who We Are

Wiltshire Council is one of the UK’s largest unitary local authorities, with over 5,300 public servants dedicated to helping residents live their best lives.

Every day, our teams work flexibly and collaboratively to make a real difference across the county.

We deliver more than 393 services to nearly 510,000 residents, including 30,000 military personnel. Our work spans public health, social care, education, planning, leisure, libraries, and much more.

Wiltshire is home to beautiful landscapes, historic towns, and iconic world heritage sites including Stonehenge and Avebury. Half of the county is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Our staff work across a mix of environments: remotely, in the community, and from our three main hubs in Trowbridge, Chippenham, and Salisbury, as well as in our 20 leisure centres and 30 libraries.
