Technical Lead – Paddington, Greater London

FM Conway is currently seeking an experienced Technical Lead to join our growing Consultancy division. As a Technical Lead, you will play a pivotal role in managing and delivering key infrastructure and public realm projects. You will act as the primary point of contact for Westminster City Council and other Council Officers, ensuring strong communication and collaboration across all projects undertaken by FM Conway Consultancy Services. Your expertise and leadership will be essential in driving project success and maintaining high standards of service delivery. This is a full-time, permanent position based at our offices in Paddington.

The duties of the Technical Lead will include:

-Acting as the primary representative for FM Conway at regular contract meetings, including fortnightly sessions with Westminster City Council

-Collaborating closely with operational divisions to ensure seamless project continuity and maintain high standards from design through to delivery

-Overseeing the delivery and performance of key programmes, including the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Hostile Vehicle Mitigation (HVM) schemes

-Supporting Team Leaders with effective workload and resource planning to ensure timely and efficient project execution

-Providing expert technical guidance, including the review, approval, and quality assurance of design drawings and documentation

What skills and experience do you need?

We are seeking for an experience Technical Lead who is a Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer with substantial experience in highway engineering and urban design within a consultancy environment. A proven track record of working collaboratively with clients, contractors, and build teams is essential. The ideal candidate will have experience engaging with both local government and private sector clients and possess a strong working knowledge of various contract types, including the NEC3.
