About FM Conway

FM Conway prides itself on being an industry leader in delivering innovative and sustainable construction solutions. Working across transport infrastructure, the built environment and the public realm, our self-delivery expertise ensures that low-carbon methods and high-quality recycled materials are at the heart of everything we do.

Our family ethos underpins our commitment to being an inclusive employer, and we are dedicated to fostering a diverse workforce that reflects the communities we serve.

At FM Conway, our people are the foundation of our success. We are committed to empowering individuals to reach their full potential, whether they are transitioning from another sector, seeking a new direction, or returning to work after a break. We aim to support every colleague as they grow and thrive in their chosen career.

Creating an Inclusive and Diverse Culture

As a business built on family values with over 60 years of experience, we recognise the importance of a diverse workforce and strive to ensure that opportunities are accessible to everyone across the communities we serve and beyond.

Our approach is guided by our Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) strategy, ‘All Great People’, which places inclusion at the heart of our business. The strategy outlines our commitment to creating a workplace where everyone feels respected, valued and supported. You can read the full strategy here: Equity, Diversity and Inclusion – FM Conway

This strategy highlights the key initiatives and actions we are taking to attract, support and retain a diverse workforce.

Through our continued efforts, FM Conway has achieved several important milestones. We are proud to be a Disability Confident Leader, a Gold member of the Armed Forces Covenant, and we have ‘Banned the Box’ across our application process to support fairer recruitment practices.

We are also committed to improving gender diversity within the construction industry and have pledged to achieve 30% female representation across our workforce by 2030, significantly higher than the current construction industry average of 15.8%.

These initiatives demonstrate our commitment to ensuring everyone in our diverse society feels respected and valued, while also encouraging professional development across all levels of the business.

Whether we are attracting new colleagues or supporting existing employees to grow and progress in their careers, it is vital that both our business and our industry are accessible, inclusive and representative of the wider communities in which we live and work.

Our business ethos is ‘Great People; Great Work’, highlighting the importance of our employees, who are truly the heartbeat of our organisation.
