About the role

Tennyson Lodge is a vibrant and busy day centre providing support for adults with a Learning Disability, where they participate in fun and engaging activities to empower them to maintain their independence, skills, and well-being.

The centre is open from 9am-4pm Monday to Friday.

The role will include promoting life skills development, and providing planned activities, you will need to have commitment and enthusiasm towards working with people with a disability.Ā

About you

You will need to have a proficient level of written and spoken English for the purposes of case recording and hold a level 2 Care Certificate in Health and Social Care. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as IT skills.Ā 

You will be able to demonstrate commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion principles and anti-discriminatory practice. Ā You will also have a good understanding of equal opportunities, person centred approach and diversity. Sometimes you will be lone working, but will also work as part of the team in group activities.

You will need the commitment to complete training and qualifications and learn new skills whilst working alongside a supportive team.Ā
