Strategic Sourcing Manager
Hemel Hempstead (Hybrid), 3 days a week in office

Strategic Sourcing Manager is a brand-new role for Haven, providing support and leadership across
the business and key spend areas in Haven. This is a hands-on role for an
experienced Procurement professional, leveraging both your technical skills and
your stakeholder management and engagement skills.

Strategic Sourcing Manager will develop and drive strategic sourcing strategies,
in line with business strategies in order to deliver maximum value from spend
while driving service, innovation and quality. You will focus on property and MRO strategic sourcing, so experience in a similar industry would be highly advantageous.

Your Opportunity:
To learn, develop and become an expert in a key area of the business by:
– Working collaboratively with Budget holders across the business to identify opportunities to drive additional value
– Working with stakeholders to determine the business need / specification and develop appropriate sourcing strategies to maximise value
– Developing and owning Haven’s Strategic sourcing plans and working with stakeholders to build an ongoing program of sourcing work across the business
– Manageing the sourcing and contract process – including RFP, Tender, Negotiations, Contracting
– Supporting the Head of Procurement Operations in ensuring commercial excellence is reflected in the Procurement “platform” across Haven.

What we’d like you to bring:
– Broad Sourcing knowledge, preferably in Hospitality and Hotel Management settings.
– Excellent, proactive stakeholder management and engagement skills
– Experience of property or MRO procurement
– Confident communication and presentation skills
– An in-depth understanding of category management and how to promote the procurement strategy across the business
– Deep experience of negotiation and supplier management, including conducting complex commercial negotiations
– The ability to derive clarity from ambiguity and competing priorities
