We have an exciting opportunity to join our Personal Lines Team as a Senior Motor Underwriter !

This is a hybrid position, combining the best of both worlds – working from home and spending time in our Halifax Office

What are the core responsibilities?
- Support the delivery of the motor strategy by managing and evolving underwriting risk appetite.
- Identify emerging risks and collaborate on underwriting solutions to address opportunities and threats.
- Analyse portfolio profitability and take action to ensure performance meets or exceeds the target COR.
- Oversee and optimise the motor underwriting footprint in line with strategic goals.
- Evaluate deals and performance areas, making underwriting decisions that align with risk appetite and return requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with technical teams such as Pricing, Trading, and Claims to support informed decision-making.

- Leadership & Experience: Lead by example, motivate others, and bring senior-level experience in managing underwriters and stakeholder relationships.
- Technical Expertise & Qualifications: Possess advanced knowledge of UK motor insurance and underwriting, with FCII or ACII qualifications and A-Level education or equivalent.
