Legionella Risk Assessor

We are searching for a Legionella Risk Assessor to support with the delivery of our risk assessmnet services within their area.

Main Duties

Reporting into the Risk Assessor Manager, the Legionella Risk Assessor will be responsible for undertaking legionella risk assessments, risk assessment reviews and surveys on a wide variety of water systems (incl. cooling towers and other risk systems) and will require a good understanding of both commercial and domestic water systems. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all risk assessment reports and their satisfactory completion and quality checking, prior to issue.

To succeed in this role, you will be:

A highly motivated individual, willing to work hard to both understand and deliver the key principles of the statutory requirements within ACOPL8, HSG 274, and Health Care Technical Memorandum 04/01 (full training will be provided in these areas). You will be an extremely diligent person, who is fully committed to ensure that our clients receive a professional service, with the highest standards of customer service.

Skills/Training Requirements

Applicants must be able to demonstrate the following skills:

  • Effective communication with good interpersonal communication skills at all levels of the organization, and with 3rd parties.
  • An ability to proactively identify problems and make decisions, taking appropriate action to a resolution.
  • An ability to attain an accurate and consistent standard of service.
  • An ability to work on own initiative and positively as a team member.
  •  Computer literacy, with the ability to effectively use the Microsoft Office package and bespoke software/databases.

Essential qualifications/experience:

  • A detailed working knowledge of the HSE’s ACoP L8, HSG274 and HTM-04-01
  • City & Guilds accreditation for Risk Assessment for legionella (or equivalent).
  • An excellent understanding of Water Regulations and hold an appropriate certificate.
  • At least two year’s experience of undertaking legionella risk assessments
  • Full Driving Licence
