How you’ll make a difference
Supporting vulnerable children, including those who have special needs, you will help to ensure they receive a safe, relaxed, and calm journey to and from school.
What you will be doing
- It will be key for you to maintain order and supervise the children on the vehicle. This may be assisting them on and off the bus, helping them with their seat belts and generally looking after their needs.
- You will be responsible for the physical and social care of passengers during the transporting to and from school.
- Ensuring the safety of the children, you will report any issues and make sure they are accurately relayed to parents, the school and the Integrated Transport team.
What we need from you
- We require you to have the ability to deal with children in a calm, understanding, caring and empathetic manner.
- You must be physically able to assist children on and off the vehicle where required.
What you need to know
- An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required for this post.
- This is a variable/ zero-hour post and therefore we cannot guarantee regular hours.
- You must live in South Gloucestershire to meet at the designated pick-up and drop-off points. Clearly state your location within South Gloucestershire in your application.
