How you’ll make a difference

As a Panel Administrator for the Fostering team, you will provide detailed and accurate administration support to Fostering Panels, ensuring that records and reports are up to date. Your work helps the wider People Department to deliver the best possible services to those in the community who may need it the most.

What you will be doing

  • It will be your responsibility to provide an accurate administrative service to the team, ensuring work carried out is efficient and procedures are effectively followed.
  • Working with partners and professionals, you will arrange and plan meetings, including fostering panel meetings and ensure invites are sent out in a timely manner and relevant documentation is circulated to the right people in a secure way.
  • It will be key for you to attend regular monthly meetings that are confidential and sensitive such as Fostering Panels. You will record accurate minutes and take notes to update computer systems and distribute documents to a high standard within given deadlines.
  • By ensuring your guidance is clear and concise, you will support customers with service processes and procedures, escalating specific concerns or queries if necessary.
  • You will accurately record, collate, and maintain records and analyse information to ensure accurate statements are produced and data is retrieved from computerised systems and interpreted.
  • Using our financial system, you will make payments to panel members.

What we need from you

  • It is essential you hold 3 GCSEs (grade 4 or above) including maths and English or have an equivalent qualification or equivalent relevant experience in office administration.
  • We require you to take and type accurate minutes of meetings, with the skill to format documents to a high standard.
  • You will be able to prioritise your own workload, work on your own initiative and meet deadlines.
  • Given the elements of this role, you will be able to use databases, run reports, analyse data and present your findings.

What you need to know

  • This is for a limited term contract, due to end 31st December 2026.
  • This role is hybrid, with a mixture of working at our office in Badminton Road and working from home.

Interviews will be held on Friday 7th November 2025.
