Salary: £32,000
Location: Based at Thorpe Wood House office in Peterborough but able to travel to other locations within AW region. Please note your placements may vary across the region and departments so flexibility is essential.

Join Anglian Water’s Modelling Graduate Programme and become part of a team that’s transforming how we manage water moving through the infrastructure. Throughout this 2-year graduate programme, you’ll experience rotational placements to develop the technical skills and experience needed to become a competent modeller, contributing to real-world projects that support our business objectives and deliver exceptional service to our customers and communities.

As part of our Asset Management Modelling Team, you’ll specialise in either clean water or water recycling infrastructure modelling. Your day-to-day work will include:

  • Using hydraulic models to interpret and manipulate data

  • Supporting growth assessments, strategic planning, and flooding investigations

  • Working with teams across the business to deliver solutions that benefit our customers

  • Combining data, modelling tools, and engineering judgment to produce meaningful insights

  • Exploring opportunities for innovation, including the use of Artificial Intelligence

  • Helping to develop and apply modelling standards to improve consistency and quality

  • Sharing your knowledge with the wider modelling community and across the business

This is a hands-on, collaborative role where you’ll be solving real-world challenges and contributing to projects that make a difference.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • A recent graduate (or soon-to-be graduate) with 2:2 or above in engineering, environmental science, maths, science or a related field is ideal, but we welcome applicants from all backgrounds who are excited and passionate about the water industry.

  • Passionate about data, modelling, and solving complex challenges

  • A strong communicator and team player

  • Curious, proactive, and eager to learn
