Maternity Cover for up to 12 months

Starting salary £28,495pa with potential progression to £31,649pa on achieving designated skills and experience
 

37 hours per week (hybrid working)

We are looking for a Financial Processes Officer to join our Financial Services team to cover for maternity leave of up to 12 months.  

You will be working within a team to deliver a broad range of financial activities relating to banking, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.  

Your area of focus will be banking, but you will work with the other Financial Processes Officers to support other areas when required to meet the team’s objectives.

You will ensure that income is allocated to the appropriate accounts using the Council’s financial systems for your investigations.   You will import and process bank files, files from different portals and cash, cheques via the financial system. You will also be responsible for answering queries either by phone, email, or face to face from colleagues across the Council about banking/income related matters.

About you:

  • Be educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
  • Have relevant experience of working in banking or other financial processing.
  • Have experience of working in an office environment

The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post.

Remote assessments will be held 24 May 2024. 

Interviews will be held on 3 June 2024.
