Construction Lead- South – Stockton-On-Tees
Job Description
We are seeking a Construction Lead- South to planning and delivery of the works South of the River of a major Energy project in Teesside
Responsible for the safe delivery of the works to the South of the River, ensuring the works are delivered right first time, on programme and within budget.
The works to the South of the River include:
- Critical path 275kv HV supply from Todd point to the ISBL, including civils route with support bridge over Network Rail operational lines
- Buried Natural gas pipeline from Foxtrot 13 to PCC
- Construction of Bluemain crossing (large civils culvert with road replacement)
- CO2 pipeline from Southern Head house to ISBL (above ground)
In summary leading the planning and delivery of the works South of the River. Providing Safety and Quality leadership and management and co-ordination of the Facilities contractors. Working closely with the relevant Package Managers to resolve performance issues and blockers to progress
Responsibilities
We are seeking a Construction Lead- South to planning and delivery of the works South of the River of a major Energy project in Teesside
- Lead the planning, co-ordination and delivery of the works South of the River
- Responsible for the work readiness and control of work procedures for all works South of the River
- Monitor site progress and support and enable the Facilities Contractors to successfully deliver
- Ensure compliance with bp requirements and the Costain way.
- Work closely with the Package managers to ensure the Facilities Contract packages are safely delivered on time and co-ordinated with other Facilities Contracts
- Work closely with the HSE and quality team to ensure contract requirements are met.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in a similar role on a large scale Energy project.
- Training in Health & Safety and Environmental management (IOSH, SMSTS for example)
- Detailed experience of onsite Construction Management and safe delivery, to time, quality and budget
- Detailed knowledge of Safe Systems of Work, Construction Phase Plans, risk assessment and construction hazards
- Experience of projects within brownfield and live operating site environments
- Experience of management of site subcontractors with civil, mechanical, electrical and site controls systems.
- Understanding of Engineering and Construction Principles construction techniques and best practices
- Proven team-working skills with the ability to motivate and lead a team
- Builds positive relationships with supply chain.
- Strong communication skills
- Practical approach, logical thought process and a methodical way of working
- Experience of managing technical and programme interfaces with adjacent and interdependent projects
