Community Fundraiser – St Wilfrid’s Hospice, Eastbourne

St Wilfrid’s Hospice provides end of life support to the population of Eastbourne and the surrounding parts of East Sussex, from our stunning hospice building and through our highly skilled community teams. We are rated an ‘outstanding’ provider by the Care Quality Commission and have a clear vision of reaching increasing numbers of local patients and their families, in close collaboration with our community.

The Role:

As a registered charity our services are provided free of charge, with 70% of our funding provided by voluntary donations, gifts and wider activities where our Fundraising and Retail teams have strong connections and participation with the local community.

The Community Fundraiser is part of the Community Fundraising Team within the Development Department, reporting to the Community Fundraising Manager.

The purpose of this role is to:

  • Implement a successful programme of fundraising from the local community to an agreed annual target
  • Develop new community relationships
  • Maintain and develop existing community relationships
