Building Services Engineer (Mechanical)
Our Opportunity
- Delivering portfolios of work across both the private and public sector, managing various contracts throughout.
- Preparing designs, feasibility studies, technical reports, and contract documents.
- Carrying out building analysis and providing system design calculations.
- Liaising directly with Clients and Contractors.
- Ensuring projects are delivered accurately and on time.
- Compliance with Health & Safety requirements, practices and procedures.
About You
Our ideal Building Services Engineer (Mechanical) should have:
- HND/Degree in Building Services Engineering (Mechanical) or a related discipline, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng), or working towards this status.
- Significant experience in mechanical building services/HVAC design, including domestic water services, ventilation, heating, and cooling.
- Strong working knowledge of IES, Hevacomp, and AutoCAD; experience with Revit MEP is desirable.
- Comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation, including UK Building Regulations, as well as Low/Zero Carbon Technologies and BREEAM.
- In-depth understanding of construction industry design processes and procurement arrangements.
- Proven design skills across a range of sectors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and self-motivated approach.
- Business development experience and the ability to build strong client relationships.
- Ambition and capability to develop your career within a people-focused, client-driven consultancy.
