Bleecker

About Us

Zan Kaufman founded Bleecker in 2012. We started as a food truck and today we have restaurants and delivery kitchens across London.

Our slogan is: commitment to the burger. We stand for cooking the best burgers in an equal world. We are united, passionate, empowering, and diverse.

Bleecker is proud to be amongst the small percentage of employers in hospitality who are leading the way in paying their team a London Living Wage.

In 2020 and 2024 we won best burger at the National Burger Awards. In 2025, we were named the Best Burger in the UK and 2nd Best in the World by World’s 101 Best Steak Restaurants. We have most recently been awarded two-star “outstanding to work for – 2025” by Best Companies.

Working at Bleecker

At Bleecker equality, diversity and inclusion are central to our vision and values.

We are committed to creating a workplace where people of all ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, nationalities, religions, ages, socioeconomic backgrounds and abilities are welcomed, supported and empowered to thrive. We’re particularly keen to welcome candidates who are members of groups that experience discrimination and/or unequal treatment in wider society.

Bleecker is proud to be a Stonewall Diversity Champion, and we continue to build a culture where LGBTQ+ employees are free to be themselves. Our handbook includes gender transitioning guidance, gender-neutral parental leave language and clear definitions to help our team call out and stamp out homophobia, biphobia and transphobia.

We run twice-yearly EDI reporting across ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation and gender identity, helping us stay accountable, track progress and identify where biases may exist in the business. In 2024, we partnered with an EDI specialist to deliver a video series focusing on key topics like intersectionality, unconscious bias and the Equality Act.

When we recruit, train, promote or engage in any people practice, we do so with fairness. Bleecker is a place where different voices, backgrounds and experiences come together.

Better burgers come from stronger teams who are empowered and able to bring their whole self to work.
