Join our team as a Commercial Retention Analyst and play a key role in shaping the success of our B2C Breakdown Retention strategy. You’ll be at the heart of commercial performance optimisation, helping us make smarter decisions and deliver better outcomes for our customers.
Using your strong technical skills, you’ll produce regular reports, insightful analysis and performance deep dives. Your work will directly support the Head of Retention and the wider Commercial Leadership team.
You’ll also collaborate with our Retention Contact Centre and Retention Marketing teams, evaluating the impact of campaigns and customer calls to drive continuous improvement.
What will I be doing?
- Producing regular and ad-hoc analysis to assess retention performance against forecast.
- Working alongside another Commercial Analyst to evaluate inbound and outbound contact centre performance, identifying key drivers behind customer saves and discounts.
- Collaborating with marketing and contact centre teams to measure the effectiveness of retention initiatives.
- Enhancing the team’s analytical capabilities by integrating new data sources.
- Improving and automating dashboards and regular reports to ensure they are clear, insightful, and useful for both the team and wider stakeholders.
- Supporting the commercial team by identifying retention trends, risks, and proactively flagging potential issues.
- Reviewing raw data structures to maintain reporting accuracy and ensure data integrity.
What do I need?
- Experience in a similar analytical role within insurance, financial services, banking, utilities, or telecoms.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a track record of applying analytical techniques to answer varied business questions.
- Highly numerical and commercially minded, with the ability to explain complex analysis in a clear and digestible way for stakeholders.
- Proven experience in improving and automating regular reporting and dashboards to enhance clarity and impact.
- Ability to work under pressure and use sound judgement to deliver timely and accurate insights.
- Ideally, a degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant analytical or commercial subject (e.g. maths, science, engineering).
- Confidence and initiative to proactively engage stakeholders with relevant insights and recommendations.
- Skilled in data manipulation and familiar with analytical tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, Databricks, and Power BI.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical audiences.
- A driven and energetic approach, with a passion for making a positive impact on the business.
