The AA
When you’re with The AA, you’re Always Ahead!
Since 1905, We’ve put UK drivers first.
We take our role seriously. You don’t become one of the UK’s most trusted brands by resting on your laurels. That’s why we continue to innovate, improve and develop new services and new opportunities. For our customers and our people.
Our jobs are grouped into four areas – Customer Operations, Roadside Operations, Corporate and Specialist Functions and Early Careers. Whichever area you join, you’ll be a valued member of the team.
Customer Operations – From arranging breakdown assistance, to dealing with claims, or providing information about our insurance products and services, our teams are here providing excellent customer service whenever our customers need them.
Roadside Operations – Our Roadside Mechanics and Recovery Operatives spend their days out and about on the road with our customers. And we have other opportunities on offer including Consumer and Business Services, and Service, Maintenance and Repair roles.
Corporate and Specialist Functions – Our Corporate and Specialist Functions are critical to our business. From Insurance to Finance to IT, Digital and Data and that’s just a few. There are lots of opportunities to explore here.
Early Careers – Our Apprenticeship programmes are some of the best. From support from expert trainers, to access to our dedicated Apprenticeship team, we take development seriously.
About Us
For generations, The AA badge has stood proud. For us, and for our customers, it’s a symbol of innovation, confidence, trust, and a shared love of the open road.
Fast forward to today and we’re as enterprising and forward-thinking as ever. We’ve innovated, adapted, and powered ahead to become the UK’s top driving support brand, delivering unrivalled expertise across the entire spectrum of the driving landscape.
From expertise and support, to driving skills courses, award winning insurance to the country’s most awarded Roadside Assistance fleet, we’re who people call to get them out of a tough spot.
With over 100 years of rich history and experience, join us and you join one of the UK’s best known and most trusted brands, and a breakdown service provider that’s both Which? recommended and rated ‘Excellent’ on Trustpilot.
The future is just as important as our past, and a net zero world benefits us all. That’s why we’re investing in alternative fuel vehicles, maintaining our health and safety standards (including winning the Gold Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents award for the fifth consecutive year), and successfully campaigning to change policies on smart motorways.
Our Culture
Our culture is what makes us special. From the conversations we have, to the way we work with each other and customers, to how we embrace opportunities, our culture is completely unique to us. And we’re pretty proud of it.
Think Impact – Start with outcomes and focus on priorities.
Own It – Make sure things happen and find solutions.
Back Each Other – Trust in each other’s expertise
Push for Better – Be ambitious in everything you do.
Diversity and Inclusion
When it comes to D&I, we don’t just talk the talk. Our Balance network pioneered a maternity leave buddy scheme to support returning mums; our Origins network ensured we became Race at Work Charter signatories; our Pride network helped us update our sexual orientation and gender identity options; and our Ability network introduced the Hidden Sunflower Disability Sunflower logos schemes across the business.
We have five Employee Network Groups, sponsored by senior leaders. They are open to everyone, whether you want to become an active ally, or just want to learn more and show your support.
- Origins – for all multi-faith and minority ethnic colleagues and allies to come together.
- Pride – for LGBTQ+ community and allies. Everyone deserves to feel included and accepted at work.
- Balance – addressing gender balance and inclusivity. We want to achieve gender balance across The AA.
- Careers – for people with a caring responsibility.
- Ability – for people with visible and invisible disabilities.
