About the role
At NNC we want to attract talented individuals who aren’t content with ‘doing what we have always done’, who want to positively inspire change and who share our aspirations to deliver exceptional services across North Northamptonshire.
After becoming a Unitary Council in 2021, we’re coming to the end of our local government reorganisation and are in the process of setting out our next strategic objectives. These will guide the creation of a clear transformation plan and associated portfolio to enable the delivery of our ambition and evolution.
The successful candidate will be one of a number of project managers tasked with defining, developing and successfully delivering the projects within this portfolio. These will contain wide ranging outputs, stakeholder groups and complex interdependencies
To enable effective design and delivery of these projects, you’ll be working with Change Engagement Manager(s), Project Support Officers, Business Analysts amongst a wide range of stakeholders. The projects you’ll be responsible for will contribute to the delivery of the organisations strategic objectives.
About you
We are looking for a highly driven, capable and affable manager who is both comfortable following polices and procedure as they are challenging the norm, breaking down boundaries and building relationships.
Someone with a demonstrable track record in a change environment, including defining and managing projects and delivering and imbedding their desired outputs.
Someone who is a change professional, who has knowledge of industry best practice, project discipline and methodologies and can translate their use to a local government change environment.
You must be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively understand, document and communicate a projects status and evidence management and resolution of risks and issues.
You must be adept at building and maintaining relationships with your teams and the wider business community.
You will have a proven record of driving desired outputs and be able to respond positively to changing circumstances.
