£44,000 starting salary, plus overtime and standby, with opportunity for pay progression

Permanent, 37 hours p/w

Our skilled team of industrial electricians are a vital part of the Water Supply family; keeping our treatment works running smoothly to ensure the supply of 1.3bn litres of clean, safe drinking water to 5 million customers, every single day.

Key responsibilities:

You’ll be responsible for wiring, installing, maintaining and controlling the high diversity of electrical equipment necessary to treat and distribute water.

This includes:

  • Calibrating and maintaining technical analytical equipment

  • Investigate asset trends and carry out electrical interventions

  • Assist electrical framework contractors and internal high voltage, optimisation and automation teams

  • Utilise electrical drawings to troubleshoot and resolve issues

  • React to technical issues to maintain water supply

What does it take to be an Electrical Asset Technician?

  • Level 3 electrical qualification AND

  • Completed an electrical apprenticeship

  • Strong health & safety focus

  • Industrial electrical experience

  • Ability to work standby-by and overtime as necessary

As well as carrying out planned & reactive maintenance on our electrical assets, you will work towards a Licence to Operate Qualification to enable you to operate and maintain water treatment assets and processes.
