Facilities Compliance Technician – Sevenoaks, Kent

FM Conway is currently recruiting for a Facilities Compliance Technician to support the ongoing facilities and safety compliance across our operational depots. As our Facilities Compliance Technician, you will carry out routine inspections and testing across multiple sites to ensure all systems and equipment meet legal and company standards. This is a permanent, full-time position based from our head office in Sevenoaks, Kent, with travel to other sites as required.

The duties of the Facilities Compliance Technician​​​​​​​ role will include:

– Carrying out routine L8 Water Hygiene Testing, including temperature checks and inspections in line with L8 ACOP (Legionella control) standards

– Reporting anomalies or risks and escalating any remedial actions required

– Conducting fire safety inspections, including checks on fire extinguishers, fire alarms, and associated safety systems

– Logging faults and recording maintenance requirements in compliance documentation

– Performing emergency lighting tests in line with BS 5266 regulations and reporting any failures for action

– Carrying out Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) across depots, maintaining accurate records and scheduling re-tests as needed

– Ensuring all compliance tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required standard

What skills and experience do you need?

We are seeking a candidate with experience in a compliance, facilities, or technical maintenance role. You will have working knowledge of L8 water hygiene, fire safety systems, and PAT standards, along with a strong understanding of health and safety requirements in industrial or depot environments. Excellent attention to detail, accurate record-keeping, and strong organisational and communication skills are essential. A full UK driving licence is required for this role due to travel between sites.
