Roland’s Story
Roland spent all his working life in hospitality. After almost 50 years in the trade, he decided to retire. But having enjoyed a long break, he needed more stimulation. And that’s where McDonald’s came in.
Roland started work as a McDonald’s crew member and the rest is history. Aged 64, this job has given Roland a new lease of life; helping him rediscover his way with customers and going above and beyond to make their stay special. He’s had the freedom to do what he loves and has been supported, by us, to develop his skills throughout the restaurant.
What started as a stopgap job for a few weeks has turned into one of the best jobs of his life – and he has no plans to leave!
