McDonald's

Life’s warm under the golden arches

At McDonald’s, we’ve worked hard to build our brand since we started in Ireland way back in 1977, on Grafton Street in Dublin. It’s why we’re proud to be the world’s leading restaurant group with more than 95 locations in Ireland alone, employing almost 9,000 people across the country.

But aside from the numbers and restaurants, we’re a community. A diverse team of individuals from all walks of life. Our employees represent all ages and backgrounds, and whatever yours is, we’d love to welcome you to the team.

Let’s experience more together

We wouldn’t be McDonald’s without the amazing people keeping our restaurants running. We respect the differences that make each person unique and believe that everyone has something special to offer that can help make our restaurants great places to work and eat. When you join us, you’ll find a welcoming work environment designed to support you and help you shine. So, why wouldn’t you work with us?

Paul's Story

McDonald’s has been all about change for Paul. A new career, new role, new locations. But ironically, he wouldn’t change a thing.

After a long and successful career, he felt it was time for a new direction. His sister had been a McDonald’s employee for over 30 years, and after speaking to her about new career opportunities, Paul applied. Working a blend of morning, daytime and evening shifts across the week, Paul was able to experience working different day parts, meeting new team members and customers. And after moving to London with his partner, Paul was able to relocate and move his work too.

Now in his role as Customer Experience Leader, Paul works with a variety of people every single day. Like anywhere, there are days that are challenging – but Paul thrives in the busy, friendly environment McDonald’s has to offer – with his team who make every shift exciting.

“For the future, I’m just looking to every day, every shift, doing what I do best and meeting new people along the way. I’d tell anyone thinking of applying that you’ll do great here. They look after you and you’ll always have a wide range of things to do. It’s a pleasant atmosphere, for people of all ages and backgrounds”.
