Since 1843, our purpose has been to help individuals and families to live with financial confidence by protecting their income while they are working and maximising it when they stop. This still remains at the very heart of LV= and is the reason we exist.Â

Our senior leadership team harnesses a diverse range of thoughts, ideas and perspectives. Our Five diversity, equity and inclusion networks continue to be sponsored by members of our executive team. To support our vision, our colleague-led diversity, equity and inclusion networks hold regular meetings with their members and each have their own agendas and objectives for the year.Â
Inclusion is one of our four core values. For us, being inclusive is all about embracing all contributions, valuing individuality and allowing everyone to be their authentic self. To bring about real change, we believe focus is required on building inclusion, equity and equality, as well as diversity.Â
Actions speak louder than words and to be truly successful our values need to be ‘lived and breathed’ through the actions we take and how we operate as a business. Our values form a key part of our performance management process and evaluation. Our colleagues are measured, rewarded and held accountable both on what and how they deliver.Â
Our Chief Executive, David Hynam has a passion for DEIW. He has championed equal opportunities for all throughout his career and it is part of our core values. We launched our refreshed DEIW strategy and members of our Executive team sponsor our five networks (Balance, Diversability, Pride, Respect and Wellbeing). Each network harnesses a diverse range of thoughts, ideas and perspectives, and champions allyship throughout the organisation.Â

Inspired by a sense of challenge, our 1,300 people work in three offices across the UK to do what’s right for our members and customers. These offices are Bournemouth, Exeter and Hitchin.
