We are seeking:-
- a Year-Out Design Manager student for Cardiff
- a Year-Out Quantity Surveyor student for Slough
- a Year-Out Design Manager student for Slough
- a Year-Out Quantity Surveyor student for Plymouth
You will be primarily focused within the Quantity Surveying, Site Management or Design Management disciplines, but will also take part in rotations in some of the following areas;
- Digital Construction & Sustainability
- Preconstruction & Programming
- Commercial
- Safety, Health & Environment
- Site Management
- Planning
- Design Management
You’ll gain valuable experience by working on real projects alongside graduates and experienced professionals. We will encourage Year-out placements to document their Year-out through case studies and gathering evidence to demonstrate competencies within your chosen discipline and wider construction experience.

Recruitment Process
3 stage application process:
- Apply online – Apply early as we recruit on a first come first serve basis, once all of our positions are full we close applications
- Within your application you must identify the role and location you wish to be considered for.
- In-Person interview with the recruiting line manager who will be responsible for you during your Year-Out time at Morgan Sindall.
- Successful applicants are notified!
Applications open in October 2025 Year Out Employment will close 31st December 2025 ahead of interviews being held in early 2025.
