Description: Cambridge City, Huntingdonshire and South Cambridgeshire District Councils operate a Shared Service for Building Control, with a dedicated Technical Support team to deliver a customer-focused, cost-effective service.
As the Trainee Technical Consultancy Officer, you will play a key part by following the business processes, providing technical administrative support and managing your workflow to meet performance targets using information systems.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Handling customer enquiries
Providing basic guidance on building control queries
Registering and validating routine applications
Taking and processing telephone payments
Logging and updating records with inspection requests and any additional information received.
To be successful in this role you will be well organised and methodical with great attention to detail. With excellent communication skills, both written and oral, you will have experience of meeting deadlines and working under pressure.

Hours: This is a full-time role, for 37 hours per week.
Working Pattern: 5Days
Contract: Fixed Term for12 months
Salary: £26,824- £29,064 per annum (City Pay Band 2)
Location: This is flexible – combining home and office-based duties across the 3C operational area.
