Salary: Grade D4 – E8 £12.65 – £13.47 per hour depending on experience

Hours of work: 8.45 – 3.00pm for 38 weeks (Term time) 26.25 hours per week

Contract type: Fixed term

We are now seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our committed staff team. The successful candidate will work alongside class teachers to support pupils’ learning, social development and well-being across the primary age range.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the class teacher with planning and delivering high-quality learning activities.
  • Working with individual pupils or small groups to support specific learning needs.
  • Promoting inclusion and helping to create a positive, nurturing classroom environment.
  • Supporting pupils with SEND and adapting resources where required.
  • Contributing to the life of the school through wider activities, trips and events.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is patient, caring and passionate about working with children.
  • Has strong communication skills and works well as part of a team.
  • Has experience working in a school or childcare setting (preferred).
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Holds a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or is willing to work towards this).
