What You’ll Do

Boston Consulting Group partners with leaders in business and society to tackle their most important challenges and capture their greatest opportunities. Our success depends on attracting exceptional talent across our core Consulting Team (CT), specialty capabilities, and lateral hires.

The North America Talent Acquisition team drives the strategy and execution of recruitment across the region. This Director role owns the strategic direction and enterprise impact of recruiting and brand enablement across NAMR, working in close partnership with Global Marketing, Employer Branding, and Communications to ensure alignment between recruiting strategy, firm messaging, and candidate engagement across North America.

 

The Talent Acquisition Director – Brand Activation and Enablement owns the enablement strategy and leads the function that strengthens recruiting and recruiting effectiveness across:

  • Campus hiring for Associates and Consultants
  • Lateral hire recruiting
  • Specialty capability hiring

In this role, you will set the strategic agenda, build and develop the team, and hold accountability for measurable outcomes across the full recruiting enablement lifecycle. You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior TA and business leadership, shaping enterprise-wide frameworks, championing innovation, and ensuring BCG’s recruiting activation is best-in-class across every hiring segment.

 

Strategic Leadership & Recruiting Enablement

  • Define and own the vision, roadmap, and strategic priorities for recruiting and recruiting brand activation and enablement across NAMR hiring segments
  • Establish and evolve scalable enablement frameworks that measurably improve recruiting effectiveness, candidate conversion, and hiring outcomes
  • Serve as a senior thought partner to NAMR TA leadership, Global TA leadership, NAMR Marketing & Communication, and Global Marketing on the intersection of brand, strategy, and candidate engagement
  • Translate complex recruiting strategy, candidate insights, and performance data into clear, prioritized organizational action, driving accountability across teams
  • Identify systemic gaps in engagement, conversion, or brand positioning, and lead high-impact interventions that move the needle at scale

Lifecycle Integration & Partnership Alignment

  • Own the end-to-end candidate journey framework, identifying and activating strategic touchpoints from awareness through offer across all segments
  • Lead integration of partnerships, early engagement programs, and pre-application touchpoints into a cohesive, measurable recruiting strategy
  • Drive stage-to-stage handoff quality and reduce structural friction across the hiring lifecycle through process design and cross-functional accountability

Executive Communication & Materials Leadership

  • Set standards for and personally lead development of high-impact candidate-facing content that communicates BCG’s evolving value proposition, including client impact, practice areas, and advancements in AI
  • Advise and influence senior TA and functional leadership through data-driven recommendations, executive-ready presentations, and structured decision materials
  • Build and sustain strong connectivity to firm strategy and business priorities so messaging remains current, differentiated, and impactful
  • Partner with Communications to shape press releases, external messaging, and firm announcements related to recruiting, talent strategy, and employer brand
  • Develop and deploy team-level toolkits, messaging frameworks, and governance that drive consistency and quality across the NAMR recruiting organization

Organizational Leadership, Innovation & Cross-Regional Impact

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of enablement professionals: building capability, setting clear performance expectations, and fostering a high-performance culture
  • Set the standard for integration across local offices, lateral recruiting teams, and other stakeholders to ensure activation strategy is tightly aligned with market realities and hiring priorities
  • Partner across NAMR and Global TA as well as NAMR and Global Marketing, and Communications to institutionalize best practices and scale recruiting brand effectiveness firmwide
  • Champion and operationalize modern tools, AI-enabled solutions, and innovative approaches to improve efficiency, insight quality, and ways of working
  • Shape the future of recruiting enablement at BCG — anticipating emerging talent trends, evolving the function’s operating model, and influencing global standards

What You’ll Bring

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred
  • Preference given to candidates with consulting experience (BCG CT or competitor CT equivalent) or BCG brand/messaging/communication experience
  • Alternatively, 10–12+ years of progressive professional experience, with deep expertise in talent acquisition strategy, recruiting operations, recruiting brand activation, or closely related fields
  • Demonstrated track record leading and developing teams in complex, matrixed organizations; consulting or management consultancy experience strongly preferred
  • Proven experience owning and delivering strategic initiatives with enterprise-wide impact — not just contributing to them

Strategic & Analytical Capabilities

  • Exceptional strategic thinker with the ability to set a vision, build a roadmap, and drive organizational alignment around complex and ambiguous priorities
  • Deep expertise in designing and scaling enablement frameworks that produce measurable hiring impact across multiple hiring segments and geographies
  • Advanced understanding of the full CT recruiting lifecycle, from early engagement through conversion, with the ability to diagnose gaps and lead systemic improvements
  • Ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative insights into enterprise-level strategies that are both rigorous and actionable
  • Strong business acumen and curiosity to stay ahead of industry trends, firm strategic priorities, and advancements in AI and talent technology

Leadership & Communication

  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and inspire teams, with experience building capability and creating a culture of high performance and continuous improvement
  • Highly credible with senior audiences; able to advise, influence, and challenge senior stakeholders with confidence and executive presence
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a track record of driving alignment across senior leadership through compelling storytelling and structured recommendations
  • Experience orchestrating complex cross-functional workstreams across marketing, communications, analytics, and recruiting
  • Comfortable operating at both the strategic and executional levels, moving fluidly between setting the agenda and driving quality delivery

Technical & Functional Skills

  • Sophisticated ability to frame, synthesize, and translate complex data and research into strategic insights and organizational action
  • Advanced PowerPoint proficiency; ability to produce and oversee executive-quality deliverables
  • Strong analytical capabilities and fluency working with dashboards, metrics, and performance data to drive accountability and decision-making
  • Proficiency in Excel and strong familiarity with modern collaboration, analytics, and AI-enabled tools

Who You’ll Work With

You will serve as a key leadership voice across the North America Talent Acquisition organization, working closely with NAMR TA senior leadership, local office and campus recruiting teams, lateral and specialty capability recruiting teams, NAMR Analytics and Candidate Insights, Global Marketing and Employer Branding, Communications, and global counterparts.

In this role, you will not only lead a team but shape the broader direction of how BCG activates its brand and enables recruiting effectiveness across the region and globe, influencing the firm’s talent strategy at the highest levels.

This role is designed for those who thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment and is not intended for remote or virtual work. 

 

Compensation Information:  

 

Total compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, retirement contribution, and a market leading benefits package described below.

 

The base salary range for this role is $154,000-$193,000 (USD).

 

This is an estimated range and specific base salaries within the range depend on factors such as office location, experience, and skill set. It is not common for new BCG employees to be hired at the high-end of the salary range. BCG regularly reviews its ranges to ensure market competitiveness.

 

In addition to your base salary, your total compensation will include a discretionary bonus of up to 30% and a generous retirement contribution that starts at 5% and moves to 10% after 2 years.
