We’re looking for a passionate and proactive Technical Services Manager to join our team. This isn’t your typical job , you’ll be helping to make a real difference in residents’ homes and lives, ensuring our housing stock is safe, well-maintained, and efficiently managed.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading, motivating, and developing a team of repairs surveyors and voids administration staff to achieve performance targets
  • Managing PA Housing contractors to deliver high-quality maintenance services consistently
  • Overseeing disrepair cases within statutory timescales and liaising with solicitors and professional consultants
  • Leading contract meetings for voids and mutual exchanges
  • Providing technical advice and ensuring high standards of customer service across all activities
  • Preparing detailed reports and performance data, including KPIs for inspections
  • Developing and maintaining processes and procedures for responsive repairs and voids services
  • Managing project budgets and reviewing pricing documents and variation requests
  • Acting as Paragon’s Duty Surveyor for out-of-hours cover

What we’re looking for:

  • A Degree or professional qualification; a Technical Qualification (HND/HNC/degree in building or maintenance) preferred
  • Membership of MCIOB, RICS, or equivalent
  • Recognised professional surveying qualification
  • Strong knowledge of social housing management, maintenance works, repair specifications, and defect diagnosis
  • Knowledge of housing/property management systems (e.g., Northgate), NHF Schedule of Rates, and health & safety regulations including CDM and asbestos
  • Experience managing colleagues in a repairs environment and leading contractors
  • High-level technical knowledge and analytical skills in a maintenance environment
  • Ability to work at height or in confined spaces
  • Knowledge of contract and commercial management, procurement requirements, and financial regulations
