Overview
New Road is a 5-bed supported living service in Peterborough providing care and support for adults with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, and mental health issues. Providing as much or as little care as is needed, our supported living service gives the individuals we support the opportunity to live an independent lifestyle and the chance to develop and practice independent living skills. The individuals we support include Mathew, who recently achieved his entry level certificate in Sailing! He’s a massive adrenaline junkie who loves going on all the rides at different theme parks and loves to end the day with a pint at the pub! Other individuals they support at New Road love to attend the local disco and dance the night away, throughout summer they love to fire up the BBQ and come together to enjoy delicious food and in winter love to go out in the snow! At New Road, every day is an adventure, where you will be supporting individuals to have a life as independant as possible, creating memories and fulfilling dreams.
As a Support Worker, you will be at the forefront of providing high-quality, enabling care. Every day brings new challenges and rewards, making this a truly fulfilling role. You’ll be key in helping us achieve our goal of being the best in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
– Individual Outcome and Wellbeing: Implement person-centered support plans, promote independence, manage risks, encourage relationships, and ensure legal and best practice compliance.
– Activity Planning: Develop flexible, engaging activity plans that promote autonomy and personal growth.
– Health and Lifestyle: Support individuals in maintaining healthy lifestyles and managing their health needs.
– Communication: Facilitate effective communication and maintain detailed, person-centered records.
– Medication Management: Oversee medication processes and support individuals in self-administration.
