Salary Range: £11.74 – £11.99 per hour

We are seeking support workers for our short breaks service in Clevedon, where we support children and young people aged between 14 and 25 for varying overnight stays to develop independence skills.

You will be helping young people to develop the skills they need to be become young adults, each person is different but support may include: managing money, socialising, cooking, cleaning and more; every person will be different, and you will be a key part in preparing them for adulthood!

We need someone:

  • Who has the flexibility to do drop offs and pick ups from school/college, work during school holidays, some weekend working
  • Who can make learning new skills fun
  • Patient, calm and supportive
  • Enjoys variety
  • Has a full driving licence

Your responsibilities: 

  • To empower the people, we support to live the lives they want to lead 
  • Develop daily living skills. 
  • Support the people we support to access their communities for social activities, employment, training or friendships 
  • To contribute to, develop and implement the individuals care plans. 
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with people we support, their family members, and external professionals. 
  • Maintain the health needs of the individuals we support
