We have an exciting role on offer within our Prevention, Provider and Support Services as a Support and Technical Officer.

Middlesbrough Staying Put Agency is an award-winning Home Improvement Agency, widely recognised for delivering a range of services that support older, vulnerable, and disabled individuals to live independently in their own homes.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and self-motivated Support and Technical Officer with excellent interpersonal skills to join our committed team and help deliver our Healthy Homes initiative. Applicants must have a sound working knowledge of housing and construction, along with experience in identifying defects in line with HHSRS (Housing Health and Safety Rating System) standards, in order to coordinate repairs for the homes of vulnerable and disabled residents. You must be dedicated to delivering a high-quality service in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines, and ensuring the highest level of care and support is provided to our clients.

To be successful in this role you will be liaising with Occupational Therapy staff and other professionals, you will represent the council’s values and ensure a positive customer experience. Strong communication skills, a commitment to multi-disciplinary working, and the ability to manage a varied workload.
The successful candidate must be able to meet the travel requirements of the role.
You will have a responsibility to support the Agency’s Healthy Homes initiative, working directly with clients, supporting them through the delivery of a wide range of home repairs and adaptations that enable them to live safely, securely, and independently. You will collaborate with a variety of stakeholders, contractors, and professionals to assess property disrepair and develop schemes to bring homes up to a decent standard. You will also assist in the design and development of adaptation schemes in partnership with clients and oversee their delivery through to practical completion, in line with national guidance and legislation.
Please note that this is a fixed term post which will end on 31.03.2027.

Salary: £27,711 – £34,314 (depending on expereince)
