Location: Cambridge

Salary: £70,000 per annum

Vacancy Type: 12-month contract

Job Purpose

As the Strategy & Programme Delivery Lead you will be responsible for creating the cross-organisational processes that ensure that the right resources, focus and actions are delivered to enable strategic success.  In this role you will also be the liaison point for the Board of Trustees – supporting the delivery of papers, meetings and ongoing engagement – supporting their robust oversight of strategy, as well as organisational risk. This will include the development and delivery of high-quality reporting processes for both the Senior Leadership Team and for the Board of Trustees.   This role will also play a critical part in the development of strengthened cross organisation strategy delivery impact measurement. Ultimately this is a critical 12 month position  that will help to set up the Board, the Executive Team and the Senior Management Team for success in making informed, evidence-based decisions, that enable strategic success. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and delivery of cross organisational processes and tools that enable visibility and decision-making  on strategic objectives activity, key results and the in year KPIs, as well as other key projects for the Board, Board Committees, the Executive Team and the SMT.
  • Lead the development of an impact measurement, evaluation and learning plan.
  • Lead the management of the risk register, its review and evolution and consideration by the Board.
  • Gather, validate, and integrate data from multiple sources ensuring accurate and timely reporting that supports informed decision making, highlighting risks and opportunities at Board, executive team and SMT levels.
  • Support the Executive Team and the SMT by setting up processes and tools that enable  development and oversight of projects, including in tracking ownership and delivery of strategic initiatives – helping to identify risks such as delays, budget overruns, or quality issues.
  • Communicate our strategic roadmap clearly across the organisation, making sure everyone from the Executive Team to delivery colleagues knows the plan and their part in it.

Person Specification

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in strategy delivery support, project and process development, management and reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present it clearly.
  • Experience with strategy performance measurement frameworks and KPI development.
  • Experience with project management
  • Ability to gather and consolidate data from multiple sources.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively and manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable with constructive challenge
  • Experience in measurement, evaluation and learning
