Specialised Estate Manager – Strategy & Exchange Uplift (New Bailey, Manchester, United Kingdom)

This is an exciting role working across both the huge BT estate portfolio and at the centre of the BT property team. The role will be at the forefront of setting the estate strategy for BT’s operational buildings and will work with stakeholders across BT to determine building uplift requirements for the retained exchange estate.
What you’ll be doing
- Specialised estate strategy lead (excl. engineering centres) working with key Networks. Openreach and BT International stakeholders to identify rationalisation and consolidation opportunities
- Specialised estate lease event management ensuring closure opportunities taken and/or lease security of tenure maintained reducing service risk
- Maintaining/communicating specialised estate strategy documentation supporting P&FS’s building (IIP) investment decision making
- Optimising and integration of facilities reprovision at closing Simpler Networks exchanges & engineering centres into enduring exchanges
- Requirements definition for exchange uplift providing input/insight into the uplift programme to optimise spend
- Lead on exchange uplift stakeholder engagement with Networks, Openreach and BT Business to agree uplift requirements
You'll have the following skills and experience
- Relationship management: strong relationship management skills. To build a network of stakeholders both within the property team and wider across BT Group
- Project management: strong programme delivery management skills. Able to pull out key deliverables/ milestones, interdependencies & to track, report and communicate jeopardy to business audiences. Ideally APM qualified or working towards
- Financial and budgetary planning: preparation, tracking and reporting of programme budgets for a portfolio of projects
- Real Estate: (desirable) experience gained or member of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
