Responsibilities:
· Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and scorecards.
· Gather and analyse business requirements from stakeholders.
· Create and optimize data models using Power BI Desktop.
· Develop complex calculations using DAX (Data Analysis Expressions).
· Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading using Power Query and other data integration tools.
· Connect Power BI to various data sources such as SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, and APIs.
· Optimize report performance and troubleshoot data-related issues.
· Schedule and manage dataset refreshes through the Power BI Service.
· Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to deliver reporting solutions.
· Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
· Create documentation, user guides, and training materials.
Required Qualifications:
· Strong experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
· Proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M Language), and data modelling.
· Strong SQL skills for querying and data manipulation.
· Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
· Understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
· Knowledge of Power BI Gateway configuration and management.
· Experience with Microsoft Azure data services is an added advantage.
· Familiarity with Excel, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
Desired Qualifications:
· Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
· Ability to convert business requirements into technical solutions.
· Data visualization best practices and storytelling skills.
· Attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
· 2–4 years of experience in Power BI development and reporting.
· Microsoft Power BI Certification is preferred.
