Overview
- Lead the delivery of the allocated Programmes and projects in line with the overall company strategy
- Plan and monitor programme and project execution, leading to the successful delivery of programmes to time, cost & quality
- Set goals and objectives for projects
- Develop, approve and manage budgets
- Report programme status updates to the leadership team
- Apply change, risk, and resource management principles and best-practice.
- Act as senior interface to customers and external stakeholders
- Mitigate/resolve issues within project teams and with stakeholders
- Maximise business outturns through continual monitoring and identification of opportunities, both within existing project baselines and new business
- Act as a role model, setting the standards for Project, Programme and Portfolio Management
- Multi-year experience managing multiple firm price £50m+ UK maritime defence programmes
- Proven in-depth knowledge and experience of all phases of a project from inception, planning and organisation, monitoring & control and closure.
- Expert in risk and opportunity management
- Direct experience working alongside senior stakeholders from the Royal Navy, UKMOD and applicable industry.
- An excellent communicator at both senior and lower working levels.
- Able to demonstrate both effective change and conflict management with highly developed influencing skills
- Experience of contemporary project managements tools, including Earned Value Management
- An improvement and growth mindset
- Formal qualifications with the APM (PMQ/PPQ), professional registration (ChPP) or actively working towards similar level qualifications.
