Senior Legal Counsel – United Kingdom

What You’ll Do:
- Work in a fast-past environment at the forefront of the sports data, betting, and tech sectors.
- Draft and negotiate a broad remit of commercial contracts, including – rights acquisition agreements, content supply agreements and technology agreements.
- Provide legal support for business stakeholders on a range of matters relating to strategic rights partnerships and the broader global media rights strategy.
- Work closely with other members of the Stats Perform legal team across various specialisms to assist in wider Stats Perform projects (e.g. data protection, employment, technology, new markets, IP).
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of Stats Perform products and services and provide legal support to the launching of new products.
- Act as a ‘go-to’ legal advisor in relation to certain workstreams.
- Give accurate and timely counsel to key stakeholders and executives across the business on variety of legal topics.
- Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations.
- **Note: This is a Fixed Term Contractor role for 1 year**
What You’ll Need:
- Be an English Qualified (or equivalent) solicitor 4-6 years PQE with private practice experience in a relevant field or in-house experience in a relevant sector.
- Have relevant experience of drafting and negotiating applicable commercial contracts.
- Have excellent technical legal skills, especially first-class drafting and interpretative abilities.
- Ability to work on matters with autonomy, juggle a complex workload and prioritize appropriately, with understanding of when to escalate an issue.
- Be a highly motivated self-starter, looking to take ownership and apply business acumen.
- Be comfortable exercising sound judgment and making recommendations quickly.
- Display excellent ability to analyse, balance and mitigate risk.
- High attention to detail and well-developed time management skills.
