About the role
As Senior Business Operations Officer, you will play a central role in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of UKICE’s mission. The purpose of the role is to provide high-quality executive support to the Director, enabling them to focus on strategic priorities while ensuring the team’s work runs seamlessly. Acting as the first point of contact for senior stakeholders, you will represent UKICE with professionalism and discretion, ensuring information flows effectively across the organisation.
You will oversee the coordination of UKICE’s day-to-day activities, from diary management and meeting preparation to handling enquiries and maintaining accurate records. A key part of the role is ensuring that colleagues are supported to deliver their work effectively, with operational processes running smoothly and resources used efficiently. Your attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities will be vital in safeguarding the integrity and quality of UKICE’s operations.
Financial and compliance responsibilities will also sit at the heart of the role. You will manage procurement, budget reconciliation, and audit requirements while serving as the team’s subject matter expert on financial systems and university policies. Alongside this, you will maintain GDPR-compliant filing systems and support governance processes, ensuring UKICE continues to operate to the highest standards.
The role also has a strong external dimension. You will contribute to fundraising activities by maintaining donor databases, supporting cultivation events, and coordinating high-profile roundtables and sponsor engagements. By building and maintaining networks across government, industry, academia, and civil society, you will help strengthen UKICE’s visibility and impact, ensuring stakeholders experience seamless and professional engagement.

This is a full-time post (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered fixed term contract until May 2026.
