About the Role

Ready to shape the future of energy trading?

As a Senior Analyst here at EDF, you’ll do just that, whilst influencing commercial decisions that help Britain achieve Net Zero!

The Opportunity

Working as part of our Curve Trading Performance & Insight team, you’ll be at the heart of EDF’s energy trading strategy. You’ll deliver high-impact performance reports, analyse trading data, and help to shape hedging strategies that optimise commercial outcomes across our £40bn energy portfolio.

You’ll collaborate with teams across Trading, Risk and Finance. Your analytical skills will uncover insights that drive performance improvements and help EDF stay agile in a fast-moving energy market.

This is a hybrid role, with the flexibility to work from home and attend our London office as required.

Who You Are

This is a strategic role that requires a high degree of analytical expertise and attention to detail, particularly in energy markets. You will be highly numerate, with the capability to manage high volumes of data used to influence business decisions. You will be experienced with Excel and SQL, and able to apply insights to drive commercial outcomes.

You’ll have previous energy experience, ideally within GB and gas energy markets. You’re able to communicate complex insights effectively to senior stakeholders through strong interpersonal and presentation skills.

We’re looking for people who are perceptive, intellectually agile, and always eager to deepen their understanding. If you thrive on tackling complexity and want to make a real impact in a dynamic environment, you’ll fit right in.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be delivering clear, concise reports on Curve Trading performance to key stakeholders, including senior executives up to the CEO level, providing insight into commercial risks and successes. Develop new performance reporting tools to monitor curve trading activities, identifying commercial risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

Providing support and analysis for the Curve Trading team, contributing to the development of new hedging strategies to drive performance improvements. Analyse data trends and performance metrics to identify actionable insights that drive continuous improvement in curve trading and support strategic decision-making.
