Job Description

Salary: Grade E6-8 £25,989 – £26,823 pro rata

Hours of work: 20 hours per week for 39 weeks of the year (Monday to Friday 7.00am-11.00am in term time plus inset days) plus occasional additional hours by agreement.

A very exciting opportunity has arisen at our delightful school. After 20 years of hard work and commitment, our current caretaker is stepping away from this vital role.

The Governing Body now wish to appoint a Caretaker to support our dedicated staff and children on our journey of continuous growth and development.

We are looking for someone special who has:

  • A positive attitude and be excited to join our catholic school family
  • Strong DIY and maintenance knowledge / skills
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety policies and procedures
  • Ability to work with suppliers and manage sub-contractors
  • Ability to work independently and use own initiative
  • Ability to respond quickly and calmly to unforeseen incidents, assess risks and respond appropriately
  • Effective time management skills and ability to prioritise
  • A can – do positive attitude
  • Reliable and trustworthy
  • Friendly personality and enjoys working alongside both children and adults
