We have an exciting role on offer within our Access and Safeguarding service as a Rough Sleeper Community Interventions Officer.

Accessing Change Together integrates council staff and partner organisations and provides a range of support and interventions in relation to service users who need support with Housing Support and Homelessness, Domestic Abuse and Substance misuse. Accessing Change Together means that lots of support services are working together and using a shared case load management system.
This will make it easier for service users to get access to services they need so they receive the right support and easier for council staff and partner organisations to work together and share information to improve outcomes for service users. It is recognised that sometimes service users need help in a number of support areas. Working with a multi-disciplinary approach, the teams aim to react quickly to those needs, developing risk assessments and support plans to address those needs appropriately.
We are looking to recruit someone with the skills, passion and resilience to work creatively with service users who are need ongoing support to prevent Homelessness New staff joining Middlesbrough can expect a warm welcome from the teams, our Director and Chief Executive and full induction process.
To be successful in this role you need a good standard of education to GCSE (A-C English and Maths) or equivalent relevant qualification.
You will have a responsibility for working alongside other services including Adult & Children’s Social Care and Public Health. You will also work as part of a small team working with people who are at risk of and / or experiencing rough sleeping.
Please note this is a fixed term post ending on 31st July 2027 in the Community Interventions team.
