The School of Biomedical Engineering & Imaging Sciences at King’s College London is a cutting-edge research and teaching division, dedicated to the development, clinical translation, and clinical application of medical imaging and computational modelling technologies. About The Role
We have an exciting position for a qualified Research Associate to undertake ground-breaking preclinical, NIH funded research. The project will run in collaboration with scientists at the Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon and the clinical team at University College London here in the UK.

The purpose of this role is to adapt and combine our previously developed experimental tools to validate integrated multi-modal imaging of the developing fetus and placenta for quantifying both fundamental changes in fetal brain development and how these relate to hemodynamic parameters of maternal and fetal placental perfusion. Successful development of these tools will significantly advance non-invasive imaging of fetal development by creating methods that quantitatively measure fetal brain growth and relate this the spatial and physiologic characteristics unique to the placenta. There are several highly innovative aspects of this proposal which will be investigated. This role will develop the tools that will identify pregnancies at-risk of placental insufficiency and facilitate future clinical diagnostic and management strategies.

This is a full time post (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract until 30 September 2026.
