About the role
The Quality Engineer reports to and directly supports Quality Assurance Manager will serve as the technical lead for the site, supporting production in identifying issues and implementing corrective and preventative actions within the Food Safety Management System (FSMS). This role involves leading and collaborating with various teams to establish and maintain preventive controls, policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance.Â
Your responsibilities
- Manage and monitor site quality performance including corrective actions to ensure QMS compliance.
- Assist in investigations, root cause analysis, and preventative actions
- Review non-conformance reports, CAPA, failure investigations, and audit findings to address quality issues and recommend corrective actions
- Prepare and analyze metrics for EM, CAPA, and supplier performance to drive continuous improvement
- Interface with suppliers to ensure materials meet specifications
- Ensure compliance with batch release procedures and develop knowledge of QC testing programs
- Contribute to the creation and execution of validation protocols
- Support the development and implementation of initiatives aimed at enhancing quality and productivity
- Perform HACCP, GMP, and other quality and compliance audits
- Ensuring updates to HACCP and Food Safety Plans based on plant changes and needs
- Other duties as assigned
The experience we're looking for
- Bachelor’s Degree in technical discipline (science/ engineering/ food processing, etc)
- Initial concept of HACCP/ Food Safety principles strongly preferred
- Previous exposure to Optiva, GLIMS and other similar systems preferred
- PCQI Certification is a plus
- General knowledge of manufacturing processes and ability to engage with personnel for quality issue resolution
- Effective communication skills and use of Microsoft office such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint

What we offer
US salary ranges
USD 64,000 – 96,000
US pay transparency
The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law.Â
