Product Owner, Enablement Technology – Chapel Street

Job Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Liverpool FC team as a Product Owner, Enablement Technology. 

 

You will manage the Technical Change Strategy for Enablement products. define, launch and run Enablement products ensuring service and KPI targets are hit and strategy is understood across the business. In addition, manage the Operational Budget for your Products. 

 

Enablement Products are defined as: 

  • Single Sign On & Marketing Consent
  • Cookie Consent

 

You will work with product Stakeholders, Support & Operational teams to nurture ideas, extract and retrieve information, determine the roadmap for the product, and work throughout the development process with the delivery team. 

The product owner is expected to understand the fan and business perspective and be able to address their concerns and needs during product development. The product owner also works with other departments, such as marketing, finance, legal etc, as needed. 

 

 

What will you be doing? 

 

Strategy & Budget Management 

  • Lead technical change strategy and delivery for Enablement Tech products.
  • Manage technical change and operational budgets (P&L).

Product Design & Development 

  • Oversee end-to-end product design and delivery, including:
  • Research, customer journey, legal/commercial considerations, budgeting, and stakeholder reviews.
  • Continuously improve products through roadmap planning, user story creation, and stakeholder communication.

Product Launch & Operations 

  • Plan and execute product launches/upgrades, covering:
  • Legal, marketing, testing, technical approval, and handover to operations.
  • Collaborate with Product Operations Manager to support product operations.

Stakeholder & Supplier Management 

  • Influence and collaborate across departments for successful delivery.
  • Manage external suppliers (contracts, renewals, development needs).

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Work with Product Owner community to refine delivery processes and share learnings.
  • Support delivery of core club KPIs.

Analytics & Compliance 

  • Define product reporting, monitor analytics, and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Insight and Data Management teams for research, feedback, and data compliance.

Administrative Responsibilities 

  • Raise purchase orders and approve invoices in line with policy.

 

Who are we looking for? 

 

We’re looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual with a strong understanding of Registration and Log In systems, Consent and Cookie Consent frameworks, and a solid grasp of GDPR and other relevant data protection regulations. You will bring excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the business and with external partners. You’ll be experienced in contract and procurement processes, agile methodologies, and project leadership. A self-starter with strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure, you’ll also demonstrate initiative, adaptability, and a team-oriented mindset. Strong IT proficiency and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes are essential.
