The Opportunity 
 

The Pricing team within EDF Business Solutions (EBS) provides timely and accurate delivery of prices, valuations, contracts and tender responses to our Sales teams. In the Pricing Analyst role, you will deal with teams from across the business in helping to ensure that contracts are efficiently managed from tender to settlement. Working in a continuous improvement environment, you will seek opportunities to add value. You will be supported to gain and advance skills that enable you to contribute to the design and automation of our processes and to conduct commercial analysis and will have the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of the GB energy market.

What you’ll be doing 
 

In this role, you will be performing operational tasks essential to the functioning of the business, which may include activities such as: pricing of bespoke contracts, performing cost and volumetric reconciliations, publishing price curves, updating and maintaining standing system and model data, producing and validating consumption and generation forecasts, validating pricing of one-off sites, processing energy contracts, calculating the impact of consumption forecast changes, ensuring timely and accurate billing of charges, and providing bespoke analysis to support business and customer reporting. 
 

You will be encouraged to identify potential improvements to processes and technologies, and will be supported to develop the skills to implement some of these yourself, for which there will be the opportunity to gain external accreditation. You will be involved in the testing and deployment of system changes and you will support in the appropriate governance and accurate calculation of internal costs. There will be the opportunity to contribute to projects, performing mathematical and impact analysis, to identify customer, risk and margin insights.  
 

Who you are    
 

We’re looking for a conscientious, team-player, able to perform detailed processes with high degrees of accuracy and efficiency. You should be able to demonstrate your ability and desire to learn and employ new tools and technologies to improve the way you do things. Intermediate/advanced Excel skills and a strong academic background are expected. 
 

A quantitative academic background, and some programming experience (Alteryx, VBA, SQL, Python, Machine Learning) would be an advantage along with knowledge of the GB energy sector, however, if not, training will be provided.
