Job Introduction

Job Title: Place Programme Coordinator

Salary Range: £35,391 – £45,564 per annum

3-year Fixed Term Contract (Fulltime 36hours)

Location: Wandsworth

Objective of role  

Wandsworth Council is pioneering a place-based approach to renewal that recognises the unique character of its diverse neighbourhoods while delivering coordinated change at scale.  You will be working collaboratively as a key member of the team to support the program management of this place-based approach within the regeneration and developments taking place in Wandsworth.   

About the role 

Regeneration & Place: You will work alongside the council’s regeneration teams to understand these significant large-scale projects and the role they play in the council’s wider place-based approach. 

Team collaboration: You will proactively work with colleagues across the council to understand the wider role their departments and projects play in the regeneration projects and place-based approach.  

Programme management: Through regular touchpoints with project managers, you will coordinate key information such as timescales, outcomes, budgets and risks.  You will ensure this information is collated in a way that can be easily managed and reviewed by others through programme management tools such as Power Bi and other software such as PowerPoint and Excel.

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  1. Programme management & organisational skills: Excellent organisational abilities to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  2. Attention to detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
  3. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
  4. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with officers and stakeholders.
  5. Stakeholder management: Experience in managing relationships with various stakeholders, including community leaders and external partners.
