The Role and the Team 

We’re looking for a Payroll Consultant to join the team on a 2-month FTC. You’ll report into the Financial Controller and work in the payroll and wider finance team, to support with the year-end pay elements as well as several process projects to improve the efficiency of operations.

What You’ll Do  

  • Maintain the integrity of the system through regular audits, ensuring all employee data remains current and accurate, from headcount tracking to policy assignments
  • You will be producing payroll, issuing of payslips, raising payment files and ensuring all staff pay and tax is paid on time.
  • Assist in completing year-end exercises, ensuring pay elements align with updated tax rates and policies 
  • Aid in developing comprehensive process flows for UK, AUS, and Foundation payroll streams 
  • Support in reviewing payroll processes, identifying areas for improvement and automation 
  • Collaborate with the wider business, particularly the people team, to log changes and update systems 
  • Support the payroll and finance team across several ongoing projects relating to payroll and benefits 

 

What You’ll Bring 

  • Demonstrated experience in managing payroll for organizations with 100+ employees 
  • A good knowledge and experience of the UX tax system 
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal 
  • Proven ability to administer diverse benefits packages effectively 
  • Proficient in payroll software, preferably CIPHR, with consideration for other platforms 
  • CIPP qualification preferred but not required 
  • Familiarity with P11d forms 
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively with other teams
