About The Team & Role

Without them, employees and suppliers wouldn’t get paid, vacancies wouldn’t be filled, and DBS checks wouldn’t be completed, leaving children and adults vulnerable.
The Payments role is often known as “Accounts Payable” and is responsible for payments on behalf of other GCC Departments, in line with current GCC/Financial regulations and policy. You will liaise with departments, schools, and vendors to support them in the processing of invoices.
You’ll help make a difference as a Payments Administrators, by taking responsibility for delivering an effective and efficient invoice payment service to your stakeholders and budget managers. We need you to provide support in settling valid invoices in a timely manner so that it can be used to support GCCs activities. You’ll provide customer support to your stakeholders, offering advice and updates on procedure and process, making a valuable contribution to support the organisation in its delivery of service.
GCC operate an agile working policy with a blend of home and office-based working.
About You
To be successful you will need excellent organisational skills to allow you to prioritise workloads and ensure our service levels are maintained. We also need your customer-focused nature to help build working relationships with your stakeholders. You’ll also bring your data analysis and manipulation skills to ensure the administrative output is accurate and completed in a timely manner.
Previous experience in an Accounts Payable role would be desirable but is not essential as full training will be given to the successful applicant.
Being able to demonsatrate the skills below would be very benefical:
Relevant experience in an Accounts Payable role or similar.
Experience in using SAP or similar invoice processing systems.
