Summary:
Energean is seeking to employ an Offshore Operations Technician, who plays a key role in the safe and efficient operation of Energean’s offshore production facility (FPSO).
Working as part of a multi-disciplined offshore team, the Operations Technician is responsible for monitoring, operating, and maintaining process and utility systems to ensure the continuous, safe, and reliable production of oil and gas in compliance with company standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
Key Accountabilities:
• Operate and monitor oil, gas, and utility systems in a safe and efficient manner.
• Perform routine inspections and ensure compliance with Energean’s operational and safety procedures.
• Execute start-up, shutdown, and optimization of production processes and equipment.
• Carry out isolations, integrity testing, and return-to-service procedures in line with Permit to Work (PTW) requirements.
• Support maintenance activities and collaborate effectively with multi-discipline teams and contractors.
• Identify, report, and help resolve equipment failures or process deviations.
• Take process samples and conduct basic field analysis.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of chemicals and materials.
• Maintain accurate operational records, logbooks, and shift handover reports.
• Uphold high housekeeping standards and participate actively in safety and emergency response activities.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of plant performance, reliability, and safety culture.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Technical diploma or equivalent qualification in process, mechanical, or chemical engineering.
• Experience in offshore production operations (FPSO or fixed platform) is an advantage.
• Proven knowledge of process, utilities, and safety systems including fire and gas detection, ESD, and control systems.
• Understanding of oil and gas production processes and safety-critical procedures.
• Fluency in English; Hebrew proficiency is a big advantage
