The Vine is a specialist department supporting over 80 learners with complex needs and behaviours that may challenge. We deliver a broad and varied curriculum tailored to meet each learner’s individual needs in line with their EHCPs. Our highly skilled and dedicated team focuses on developing personal skills and preparation for adulthood, ensuring every learner is supported to achieve their potential. We place strong emphasis on teamwork, flexibility, and mutual support, always striving for the highest standards. Our ultimate goal is to empower learners to become as independent as possible and to lead happy, fulfilled lives.

We are seeking to recruit a compassionate and professional Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective delivery of medical and personal care across the department. This includes ensuring that students, staff, and visitors to the campus receive safe, high-quality, and respectful medical support and first aid.

The Nurse will play a vital role in supporting learners with complex health needs, working closely with our staff team and in collaboration with multi-disciplinary professionals both within The Vine and across the wider group.

*Actual salary for 39 weeks commencing at 35,632 with progression to £38,925 per annum

What You Will Do

  • Provide professional nursing care and first aid to students, staff, and visitors.

  • Support learners with medical and personal care needs in line with care plans and EHCPs.

  • Monitor, record, and administer medication safely and in accordance with policies.

  • Contribute to care planning and liaise effectively with families, carers, and external healthcare providers.

  • Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all learners.

  • Offer guidance and training to staff regarding medical and health-related matters.

About You

  • Registered Nurse (NMC pin essential).

  • Experience of working with children or young people with complex needs is desirable.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and compassionate in challenging situations.

  • A flexible and proactive team player with a commitment to high standards of care.

  • Passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people with complex needs
