Overview:

This role while both commercial and promotions led sits within the marketing team for Benefit Cosmetics Ireland and is indicative of the increasing importance of Key Accounts & Ecommerce within the overall growth and engagement strategy. The successful candidate will be tasked with driving select Key Account performance among Irish Independent retailers, while collaborating with new and existing Retail & E-tail partners, supporting the overall marketing strategy with clear commercial  KPIs.

The role plays a key part to the success of Ireland achieving both its commercial and marketing KPI’s, aiming to maximise brand awareness and grow market share. Key focuses for the role includes select retailer account management, ownership of the promotional calander for each retailer and communication to the field teams on implementation, Ecommerce management and visual merchandising implementation.

Responsibilities:

Retail Account management

Build effective relationships with retail partners in order to drive opportunities, initiatives and delivery of retail targets & company objectives in line with annual plans.

  • Analyse sales forecasting for relevant retailer, nationally and by store, product & services.
  • Review the sell-in and sell-through on innovation and priority launches. Ensure follow up orders are placed where further stock is required.
  • Report weekly stock and sales figures, including competitive analysis. This should include.
  • Figures versus target
  • Key Product Sales
  • Stock and weeks cover analysis sent and followed up with the retailer and operations.
  • Services sales
  • Formulate (in conjunction with Marketing), present and negotiate trade-marketing, Ecom, CRM, sampling programmes for designated accounts, securing coverage and buy in.
  • Adapt marketing plans and build specific events and promotions, exploring new retail initiatives where presented.
  • Present at sales meetings an overview of trade marketing plans with emphasis on key Benefit/retailer initiatives to ensure the buy-in of all concerned.
  • Ensure that the Retail Activity Calendar & newness is kept up to date and communicated to relevant Head Office / Field Sales.
  • Take the marketing forecast for new launches and ensure the data is analysed so stock is apportioned to the right retailer and right stores.
  • Continually look at opportunities to unlock new commercial opportunities.

Ecommerce – Partner Site

  • Support the Head of Marketing to establish, own and maximise the relationships with all existing, and potential Etail partners.
  • Drive sales, ensure profitability and support the growth of all our partner Etail sites, utilising all relevant CRM platforms and customer engagement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with all of our Etail partners to provide and execute individual ecommerce opportunity calendars for each partner.
  • Conduct fortnightly calls with each Etail partner, report back to Head of Marketing and execute all actionable points.
  • Track our brand activity on all partner sites against our competitive set, and against platform opportunities.
  • Spot potential on-brand opportunities for on-boarding benefit cosmetics and news with the marketing team at all times.

Visual Merchandising Support

  • Be the eyes and ears of the Benefit brand in store gaining insights and learnings through weekly market visits, focusing on key account doors.
  • Manage innovation updates with UK VM team ensuring accurate assortment implementation.
  • Ensure VM utilization in store to standard of Benefit cosmetics global.

Marketing Team Support

  • Ensure effective communication of the Trade strategy, updates and news with the marketing team at all times.
  • Work closely & collaboratively with the digital coordinator and Events coordinator to ensure KPI`s are met and the interests of the brand are protected and supported at all times.
  • Support where appropriate at key tactical events and launches.

Office based, hybrid working model, with some national travel required and associated overnight stays.

Qualifications:

Skills / Abilities

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to analyse data and suggest improvements.
  • Knowledge of the beauty industry will be advantageous.
